I appear to have missed this, but saw some stories in the magazines, or, later, in author's collections.

One memory that popped up was GRRM's [1] "The Monkey Treatment", which I marked as a good choice to adapt for a Twilight Zone- or Outer Limits-type show. [2] It would particularly have been a better choice than "Sandkings" given that a later Outer Limits adaptation of that chose to place it in a contemporary setting.

[1] How has he never put out a book titled _GRRM's Fairy Tales_?

[2] It appears there was not yet a revival of either The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits as a franchise at that time. This is a prime case where a "brand name" represents no guarantee of quality.

Your witty play on words is appreciated.
