Drawn about a century ago, so no Tolkienish influences. Absolutely
awesome, nonetheless.

Not only is their JPG map larger, but they have an even larger one in the highly-compressed JPEG2000 format. IrfanView seems to be the best program that's free for handling that format.

Camelot seems situated at the summit of the mountain that holds Arthur's
tomb. The Forrest of Lyonesse may be better suited for Guinevere's tomb.
Troll Town seems quite quiet.

In the Troll Town, the mighty Troll Town
The flamer sleeps tonight
In the Troll Town the quiet Troll Town
The flamer sleeps tonight

Thank you,

"nonetheless"? Tolkien is not the only good fantasy.

Oh, that's true enough.

And yet, in one way, _The Lord of the Rings_ is... what all the other fantasy
before it was... hinting at the possibility of, without ever being able to quite
attain.

Or so it seems. I'm not sure that even _The Lord of the Rings_ is what we
*really* wanted...
