I read this in paperbook years way back. As a fan of SF mysteries, I
liked it quite a bit.

I recall when Lawrence was a regular on this group and there was
discussion of whether there'd be a sequel.

This piqued my curiosity enough to do a quick search.

Realms of Light was that sequel - The Cases of Carlisle Hsing, Book 2.

Apparently, Carlisle Hsing was a woman and a private detective.
