Some Summer Lands (Atlan, volume 4) by Jane Gaskell

Seka is far smarter and more observant than her witless but
beautiful mother Cija. Alas, not only can Seka not speak, she
is still but a child when she's dragged along on Cija's latest
misadventure.

I have read this, but I don't remember much about it (other than the
tone of Seka's commentary).

When I first saw the title, I thought that this was a Perry Rhodan Atlan
book that I did not know about.

You are aware that Atlan got his own spin-off series, right?
It ran for 850 volumes from 1969 to 1988.

Yes. I am only aware of the six ??? Perry Rhodan Atlan books that were
translated to English from German by Wendayne Ackerman and published by
Ace. I own all six books.
