There's a law to let the president ignore asylum requests during
pandemics. That was used to reduce asylum requests, but the non-asylum
entries in two thousand miles of desert continued.
With COVID under control, the law cannot be used. By Biden. The bill
House Magoos rejected at the command of Don Felon, would let the
president reject asylum requestors if the influx was too high. This
would give Biden a tool similar to what Don Felon had. Magoos rejected
that because they don't want the border to be controlled.
Is it under control? Only in the sense that peple are not
dying in such numbers that they need additional facilities for morgues
Still some dying of my age group. Others younger are geting long
Covid but I beat them in 1986 when my Systemic Exertional Intolerance
Disease became manifest. Always running downhill ahead of the pack...
Biden made an executive order to do what the law would have allowed and
asylum requests have dropped the way Magoos have been demanding. Whether
the EOs will survive judicial review will wait until after the election.
2. Send the illegals back to their home country.
Which ones?  The people who crossed illegally last week or the
people imported here at an early age and who are productive members of
society paying more taxes than Trump ever did or who do
It costs a lot to bring a person from child to adult, and it is the
adult form that pays taxes to get a return on investment. Magoos are
anti-capitalists with no understanding of business. They would rather
celebrate their fear and bigotry then do the smart thing.
I do not fear immigrants, but if they are deportable, that is the law.
But the Constitution requires due process which means an immigration
court hearing. Magoos refuse to pay for courts, so immigrants remain
until their hearing. Ted Cruz et al have stated publicly they want
immigration court backlogged so hearings cannot be scheduled. They want
this problem to campaign on their voters's bigotry.
Trump never helped Veterans in any way as by his statements he
considers them "losers and suckers".  Bidennomics so far is a
I feel we would have fewer wars if young adults were less willing to
fight wars for gray old men. But when break their bodies for our
profits, we should be obligated to help them out.
Cprrect! we should even though a lot of people enter the military
service for lack of anything else to do to earn a living.
But the anti-Federal Goverment forces emboldened by Grover Norquist
are fighting to keep from paying their share of taxes. All of the
very richest people in the world made more money while we went
through the Covid-19 Pandemic. Literally billions as we became
dependent on deliveries were raked in by the billionaires.
Why do progressives seem to take care of everyone other than legal US
citizens first?
Why does America seem to come last under democrat administrations?
You need to get better sources of information. I am a legal
citizen born in 1937 in the State of Washington and living on Social
Security in San Francisco.  If the reactionary state governments
Boo! Hiss! Santa Clara County!
What have they done that is more evil than any other
county?

Republican would accept the Medicaid extensions and take care of their
poorest citizens properly you would see that the US Federal government
Everybody who gets a salary in the US pays FICA regardless of
citizenship, residency status, immigration status. Citizenship only gets
us a tiny number of privileges.
Not privileges but rights. Like the right to vote for a sane
government not one who headed by a felown who conflates Jerry Brown and
Willy Brown. It should be easy enough to tell them apart.

One is dark and the other is pale, one was govenor 4 times, 2 X as
youth with great foresight and one was a legislator who was strong
on civil rights and was in power for years before the Term Limits
passed, one a mayor of Oakland and the other the Mayor of San Francisco.

Willie is not quite a hero of mine as he said in his Mayoral term that
poor people like me should leave San Francisco.

Jerry was a hero of mine in our youth for his modest lifestyle and
idealism and in my eleder years by being good enough to convicce
us voters to raise our taxes.
Oh and SF like other so called sanctuary cities, like NYC for
example, are only getting what they
deserve.
What do you think we are getting here?  I live in San Francisco.
Our economy was disrupted by Covid-19 and work at home. Thousands of
people came into town by car, bus, trains, ferry boats and BART
to work in office towers and eat in small restaurants.
California is a sanctuary state.
And justice for all.
RWNJ read that as "Just Us" for and others unconsciously
discriminate against people outside the WASP standard.
Remember abortions may be a convenience to the rich but to the
poor they may be life-saving procedures.  The production of new human
persons is fraught with difficulties which people unfamiliar with
the medical details cannot begin to imagine.
As an example of what abortion restrictions have accomplished to

I must assume satire or irony is intended. The truth is

What does this have to do with SF?

It makes perfect sense. If I were homeless in Michigan or Minnesota or some
other place with lethal winters, I would definitely try to get to San Francisco
or Florida or some place far more temperate.

Obviously this was accidentally posted to the SF.written rather than
one or two groups where I am constantly explaining San Francisco
to idiots who believe that the free-wheeling city of the past is
collapsing. I have live in San Francisco for about 67 years now having
moved here in 1967 when I hit 30 yoa.

My apologies on my erroneous direction of that emai.

Oddly, weather and climate was part of the reason my father moved
from the Bay Area to Ontario. He thought the weather and the climate
were insipid, whereas if you fuck up outdoors at the wrong time,
Ontario _will_ kill you.

Besides 4 years in Ontario (grad school + 2 years in first job) I also
spent 4 years in Winnipeg when we were first married. Which turned out
to be a good deal for us since her folks were in Ontario, mine in BC
which meant they were extra happy to see us when they did and by the
time we eventually moved to BC we had been married long enough that we
were set in our ways.

I remember one year my grandparents (in AZ) and us both asked my Mom
to arrange plane tickets to bring us home for Christmas. Naturally she
arranged them 1/2 hour apart to save her 2 trips to the airport - we
were flying in from Winnipeg, them from Tucson and as soon as we
exited the terminal, we pealed off our coats while they were
frantically putting theirs on. (Have lived in 4 provinces, worked
short term in 3 others)
